Chrysanthellum: benefits for the liver and blood circulation

We reveal to you all the secrets of Chrysanthellum, this plant with spectacular virtues on the liver, nervous and cerebral system.

What you must remember :
  • Chrysanthellum is a hepato-protective plant thanks to its flavonoids, saponosides and polyphenols.
  • It has a beneficial action on the venous system by promoting good blood circulation.
  • Thanks to its antioxidant action, it helps fight against oxidation in the body.
  • Its consumption is contraindicated in pregnant, breastfeeding women, children and in the context of biliary disorders or pathologies.

What is chrysanthellum?

Chrysanthellum is a flowering plant native to South America and found in tropical Africa. It is full of fabulous active ingredients such as flavonoids, saponosides and polyphenols.

These anti-oxidant and body-protective molecules make it possible to define this plant as hepato-protective because it supports the detoxification functions of the liver . It is also one of the 7 plants that allow optimal cleansing of the liver .

It can be consumed in the form of infusions or capsules.

Benefits of chrysanthellum

Due to its composition, chrysanthellum is of particular interest in the functions of detoxification and protection of the liver. In addition, its power on the venous system gives it powerful benefits.

Chrysanthellum and blood circulation

Consumption of chrysanthellum has a vasodilator effect, meaning it increases the diameter of blood vessels, which contributes to easier and faster blood circulation. Blood pressure is therefore lower because it is better controlled thanks to an adaptation of the metabolism of the heart muscle called myocardium. Its venotonic action stimulates the tone of the venous walls and helps fight against venous insufficiency and avoid all problems such as edema, heavy legs, varicose veins , etc.

Chrysanthellum and liver

Chrysanthellum has many benefits for the liver . It leads to a reduction in necrotic cells and in the level of transaminases, enzymes present in the liver whose level increases when the liver is overloaded. This overload can be due to high consumption of alcohol , fatty foods, medications, etc.

Their high level is a sign of a liver disorder or pathology and can ultimately cause fatigue, abdominal pain and an increased risk of mortality.

By improving the functions of the liver, this makes it possible to avoid overloading the intestine , another emunctory organ, and thus promote good digestive comfort . In addition, it allows for better digestion of fats.

Chrysanthellum and anti-oxidant properties

Chrysanthellum has strong anti-oxidant properties . Indeed, it leads to an inhibition of the production of free radicals thanks in particular to the reduction of lipid peroxidation. This reaction corresponds to an oxidation of fatty acids and is the consequence of oxidative stress . Ultimately, too much oxidative stress, a natural reaction of the body, can cause an imbalance in the body and promote the occurrence of various pathologies (inflammatory, cardiovascular, neurodegenerative, hepatic, etc.).

At the brain level, the reduction in oxidative stress allows, according to studies, a reduction in anxiety, symptoms of depression and epilepsy. Indeed, the active ingredients of chrysanthellum have the ability to cross the blood-brain barrier. This barrier isolates the brain from the rest of the body in order to protect it from any intoxication. By crossing it, these active ingredients will be able to act locally and have a greater benefit at the cerebral level.

Indications and dosage of chrysanthellum

The consumption of chrysanthellum is contraindicated in pregnant and breastfeeding women, children and people suffering from biliary disorders or pathologies .

At present, there is no official dosage to obtain benefits, however scientific studies identify doses ranging from 100mg to 1500mg. As part of a combination of several plants, to balance the formulation.

If the dosage is respected, chrysanthellum does not cause any unwanted side effects. However, in high doses, it can cause nausea and stomach aches.
